In this interactive workshop, Sam and Alex, from Consequential will introduce you to Consequence Scanning, an agile responsible innovation practice, that will help you and your team to critically question the potential impact of your idea. This methodology will support you to creatively explore a range of possible consequences to then critically focus your thinking into action. It will enable you to build a repeatable practice of working as a team with aligned intentions as you look practically at your impact on not only your users and customers, but on more conceptual stakeholders like ’the environment’ or ’society’. Over this half day in-person workshop, you will be introduced to responsible innovation concepts, learn the Consequence Scanning methodology, and have many opportunities to examine your own idea with your team and with others. You will walk out of the workshop with a framework for putting your discoveries into action, and be given space to reflect on how what has surfaced may affect your team or partnerships. The tools will support you to explore your idea and understand how it fits into your broader business and community landscape, and give you the language and permission you need to critically question your decisions going forward - helping you create a more robust and resilient project.Lunch is provided.
