<h3>Constellations ° Open Call Event</h3><h3>16 December 2021, 12:00 - 13:15 GMT</h3><p>Join us for an online event for prospective applicants interested in becoming part of the <a href="https://upprojects.com/projects/constellations" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><em>Constellations ° Cohort</em></a>. The event will feature speakers from UP Projects and Flat Time House to provide an introduction to the programme and the lines of enquiry that will be explored. Past <em>Constellations </em>alumni and a former workshop leader will also discuss their experiences being part of previous cohorts and contributing to the programme. You will also have the opportunity to take part in a Q&amp;A to ask questions you may have regarding the cohort, programme or open call process. </p><p><em>Constellations ° Open Call Event</em> is chaired by Elisabeth Del Prete, Curator (Learning &amp; Live Research), UP Projects. Speakers include Gareth Bell-Jones, Director, Flat Time House; two <em>Constellations </em>alumni, and a former workshop leader.  </p><p>The event will take place online in <a href="https://upprojects.com/projects/the-hall" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><em>The Hall</em></a>, UP Projects’ digital participation space. </p>

<h3>About Constellations </h3><p>The <a href="https://upprojects.com/projects/constellations" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><em>Constellations ° Cohort</em></a> is a group of artists, curators, producers, and practitioners active and/or interested in the expanded field of public art. The cohort will take part in <a href="https://upprojects.com/projects/learning-and-development-programmes/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><em>Constellations</em></a>, a free, nine month learning and development programme, curated and delivered by <a href="https://upprojects.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">UP Projects</a>, working in partnership with <a href="http://flattimeho.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Flat Time House</a> and <a href="https://www.biennial.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Liverpool Biennial</a>. By ‘the expanded field of public art’, we mean the work that happens at the intersection of contemporary art and culture, social practice, and the public realm. </p><p>The programme explores issues and best practice in relation to this field and supports a diverse cohort of ten practitioners, selected through this open call, to develop their practice, collaborate with others, access new networks, and contribute to critical debate surrounding the future of public practice. </p><p><em>Constellations </em>is generously supported by <a href="https://www.artfund.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Art Fund</a>, <a href="https://www.artscouncil.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Arts Council England</a>, <a href="https://upprojects.com/barrington-hibbert-access-fund/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Barrington Hibbert Associates Access Fund</a>, and the Constellations Patrons and UP Supporters.
