Constructing Success: Improving Material Efficiency for Maximum Impact

CBREBirmingham, England
Tuesday, Apr 21 from 9 am to 12 pm
Overview

“A dynamic workshop session helping you to unlock cost and carbon savings through the smarter use of your construction site waste materials.

Join us for the Constructing Excellence Midlands Resource Matching Workshop on Tuesday 21st April 2026 (9am-12pm) at CBRE Birmingham for a morning filled with networking and resource matching opportunities. This event is delivered by International Synergies Ltd in partnership with Constructing Excellence Midlands as part of the WMCA funded Resource Reuse Network initiative. The event is primarily targeted at infrastructure providers, home builders and their construction supply chains.

What is this event about?

A resource matching workshop brings together construction businesses with a common goal in mind – to save money by improving the way they manage resources and waste materials across regional construction projects. This unique event aims to enable businesses to identify new opportunities between delegates through the matching of resources, including waste arisings (muck away, demolition waste, excavation arisings, soil etc.), unwanted surplus construction products, energy and water.

The workshop is open to all CE Midlands members, and other construction companies of any size but, for this session we will also be having a priority focus on the identifying opportunities to exchange resources across Midlands construction projects.

This FREE in-person workshop will help your business to:

  • Improve resource efficiency
  • Reduce your cost and carbon footprint
  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Network with other likeminded businesses

Our workshop delivery team will facilitate a lively and interactive session that will allow companies to exchange details about waste streams they have on-site or want as an alternative raw material input. Just remember to bring details of resources you wish to share or discuss on the day.

Who should attend?

Improving resource efficiency is common sense for business. Increasing waste disposal costs and growing public awareness of environmental issues means that incentives have never been greater for companies to find better ways to manage their wastes and underutilised resources.

If your organisation generates significant waste streams or requires large amounts of raw material, water or energy then this event is for you. If you are a construction business in the Midlands, and would like to lower cost and carbon, increase sales and build business contacts with other companies then you should sign up for this FREE workshop.

The workshop is particularly suitable for project managers, site managers and engineers, environmental professionals and those with a knowledge of material flow requirements coming in and out of their construction sites.
