The City &amp; Guilds Group and the Work Foundation invite you to their report launch, where they will be joined by representatives from the CBI and TUC. This discussion event will focus on the future challenges facing the construction sector and the ways in which skills development and government policy such as the National Retraining Scheme needs to respond. Themes explored include the impact of technological and organisational change, lifelong learning as well as skills utilisation and re-utilisation. At the breakfast launch event, we will be hearing from: - Chris Jones, Chief Executive Officer, City &amp; Guilds Group; - Lesley Giles, Director the Work Foundation; - Douglas McCormack, CEO , WYG; - Tom Thackray, Director of Infrastructure, CBI; and - Paul Nowak, Deputy Director, TUCThe event will open at 7.30am for coffee and breakfast, with a start time of 8.00am.
