Avoidance is on the rise—school refusal, social withdrawal, low motivation, digital retreat. Many families feel stuck, and professionals unsure how to help.
Contactivity is a powerful, NVR-informed approach for working with avoidant children and adolescents. Developed by Dr Uri Weinblatt, it offers practical, relational tools to reach young people who seem unreachable. We are delighted that Dr Uri Weinblatt, internationally renowned clinical psychologist and the originator of Contactivity, will be delivering the training himself.
Across two immersive days, you’ll explore:
- Why avoidance happens—and how it holds children back
- Contactivity’s 10 core principles for restoring connection and motivation
- Tools like Systemic Mirroring and the Connecting Sit-In
- How to break the demand–withdrawal cycle and rebuild trust
- Shame, anxiety and the emotional roots of disengagement
- Using digital interests (like gaming) as bridges back to real-life relationships
This training is ideal for therapists, teachers, social workers, and other professionals supporting families where avoidance has taken hold
This is a two-day event running from Tuesday 25 November to Wednesday 26 November 2025, 09:30–17:00 each day.
(Eventbrite only allows us to list one day, but this is a full two-day training course.)
