Join us for an afternoon workshop to learn about content strategy and the key benefits, roles, activities and deliverables associated with it. The session will identify two main components to explore further: structured content, from the initial domain exploration and modelling to the implementation of a content model into Liferay; and taxonomy, covering its benefits and applications as well as options on how to manage large taxonomies across various content repositories. As a follow up to taxonomy, we will explore new approaches to content categorisation including machine learning and how it differentiates from more conventional, human-driven classification approaches. Ultimately, we will look at ways of combining taxonomy with machine learning with example demonstrations.

Digital managers, strategists, web managers and marketers who are looking for a swift but thorough entry point to the subject of content strategy. The material in this workshop should provide a good overview of content strategy as a whole and more detailed concepts and techniques about key aspects of it that are essential in large, subject-based content repositories.
