Continue to Learn 2017

The British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association (BIGGA) was created in January 1987 due to an amalgamation of the British Golf Greenkeepers Association, The English and International Golf Greenkeepers Association and The Scottish and International Golf Greenkeepers Association. Today BIGGA has around 6,000 greenkeepers and turf professionals as members, and membership is on an annual basis.BIGGA divides the UK into five Regions: Northern, Central, South East, South West & South Wales and Scotland & Northern Ireland. Each Region is covered by a  full-time membership services manager.

Continue to Learn is the educational part of the BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition (BTME) which is held in Harrogate in January every year. There are events suitable for all levels of employees within the greenkeeping industry, from apprentices all the way through to golf club owners.
Events are split into Workshops, Focus on Sessions, Career Development Sessions and Seminars.
A great deal of time has been spent compiling the educational programme. Feedback from members and attendees has been taken into consideration and a lot of the programme has been voted for by our members.

FAQs 
Why are there two prices for each ticket?
One of the many benefits of BIGGA membership is reduced ticket prices at Continue to Learn. BIGGA members are able to attend Career Development Sessions free of charge and also pre-book seminar tickets. To take advantage of the reduced rates, contact the Membership team on 01347 833800 option 2 to discuss joining BIGGA.
Where should I register when I arrive in Harrogate?
The majority of the education will take place in the Harrogate International Centre. Registration on Sunday and Monday is in the Queen's Suite. Registration for the Turf Managers' Conference is in The Royal Hall. Partner events and some workshops will be held at The Crown Hotel in Harrogate, therefore registration will take place in the lobby of the hotel. All events (except free seminars) must be booked in advance via Eventbrite or the Learning & Development Team. 
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

I am a greenkeeper, can I attend the Turf Manager's Conference?
There are educational events for all levels of turf professionals from apprentices through to golf course owners. There is a quick guide in the Continue to Learn brochure that can help to identify who the events are aimed at. This is only a guide though and anyone can attend any of the events 
I have registered online for BTME, does this mean I can attend the education at Continue to Learn?
If you wish to atend any of the educational sessions from Sunday to Wednesday, you need to book in advance through Eventbrite or by speaking to or emailing the Learning & Development team at BIGGA. If you have registered to attend an education event, your badge wil give you entry into the exhibition so you don't need to register again.
