Join us for an online workshop on Continuing Healthcare with Claire Edwards
Claire Edwards is the founder and owner of Claire Edwards Eldercare Consultant. She is a registered nurse with over 11 years of hospital based experience, where her roles included Discharge Liaison Nurse and Senior Ward Sister, and over 20 years working as an independent care adviser and nurse assessor in the community. She is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and is an affiliate member of the Society of Later Life Advisers.
In this session Claire will help us to understand:
- What NHS Continuing Healthcare is (and what it is not)
- How eligibility is determined
- How it can be accessed
- The challenges that individuals and their families face before, during, and after the assessment process
- What happens when an application is declined
