Overview

Contraception Choices

Why doesn't safer sex happen?

Should men take a pill? Should women always be responsible for preventing pregnancy?

When is Long Acting Reversible Contraception most suited?

To answer these questions and explore contraceptive methods, stigma, embarrassment, lack of engagement and condom negotiation join us on this 1/2 day module.

OR - as all of our training is funded so free for you to attend - make the day really count and combine this module with our morning session on the same day!

 Let's talk about sex

Do you work with young people?

How do you bring up sensitive topics with the people you are working with?

Do you remember the birds and the bees talk? Did it make ANY sense to you?

If you are a worker or manager in Devon, Torbay, Plymouth or Gloucestershire who wants to offer up to date, relevant information on STIs, sexual behaviour and how to access screening programmes to young people, join us at this half day training session and gain the skills that will enable you to bring up conversations about sex and relationships with the young people that you work with.

Both of these modules are recommended training sessions to help your organisation to progress to C-Card site registration alongside other modules including;

RU Ready? -  Supporting and empowering young people’s emotional development

Contraception Choices - Why doesn't safer sex happen?

This event along with many others is listed separately and happens at various venues and dates across Devon, Torbay, Plymouth and Gloucestershire so please check our events List to book on if you wish to attend on a different date or at another location. All of our training is accredited. Our half day modules qualify you to progress onto our specialist full day courses.
