Knowledge Impacts Network: Conversations for Collaboration

About this event

At the start of the new academic year we will be focusing on how to have good, positive and productive conversations with colleagues, collaborators and potential partners, drawing on coaching approaches. These techniques might also be helpful in communicating the value of cultural knowledge exchange and your work to colleagues who may feel that KE / arts sector collaboration is “not for them” or might not appreciate the full range of potentials and possibilities involved in this kind of work. We will be working with Guildhall Coaching Associates to share techniques and insights on using coaching approaches in conversations. We will also be joined by Dr Ash Brockwell to reflect on how techniques deployed in Values-centred evaluation (VACE) can be used in conversations and discussions to establish shared values, and help reveal the ‘intangible’ impacts of collaborative projects. In this taster session, Ash will provide a brief overview of the principles of VACE and introduce an online group work activity.

KIN is an informal and interactive network for those who have responsibility for activating, nurturing and reporting on knowledge exchange activities with the arts and cultural sector in a higher education setting, this event is for you. It will also be relevant to those from the arts and cultural sector who collaborate, or would like to collaborate with higher education research and knowledge exchange.
