Cook & Chat
Come along to our informal cooking sessions for adults, to cook a meal and eat together.
Come along to our informal community cooking sessions. Each session we will prepare and cook a meal that we eat together at the end of the session. All of LOVE Food CIC's cooking sessions focus on healthy, easy, affordable, tasty vegan food.
We will have different guest chefs for each of these cooking sessions. In June & July we will have Aga, who will make some traditional Polish dishes - Botwinka and blueberry pierogi.
Celebrate the fresh flavors of spring as you learn how to prepare botwinka—a traditional Polish “spring soup” made from young beetroot, including the red bulbs, tender stems, and leaves. This vibrant, earthy, and slightly tangy dish is a seasonal favourite, often enjoyed hot or cold. Alongside it, you’ll make delicious blueberry pierogi, a classic sweet dumpling filled with juicy fruit.
These sessions will be once a month, on the 4th Wednesday of the month.
These sessions are funded by the Norman Family Charitable Trust.
We charge a small booking fee of £3, as this helps ensure that people turn up to the session, but it is free if you are on benefits/have a low income.
