Enjoy an LGBTQ Cookery Class and Social!
forum+ and St Luke's Community Centre are proud to join together for Cooking With Pride!
On Tuesday 14th April our group will be guided through the steps to prepare and cook a delicious meal. At the end we will all sit down together to enjoy the food we've cooked, with any leftovers packaged up to take home. We have fantastic fun in the kitchen at St Luke's and it is amazing to have the opportunity to learn culinary skills and how to cook low-budget, nutritious meals. At our April class we’ll be cooking and enjoying West African Peanut Stew and Fufu with Sweet Thikary for dessert. Allergens: peanuts, soy, celery, gluten and dairy.
The cookery class and social first took place in LGBT History Month 2020 and has been held at St Luke’s regularly since Pride Month 2022. Cooking With Pride is a warm, welcoming and inclusive social support group where we join together to learn recipes and enjoy a delicious meal. At each event there is a focus on a different cuisine and there have been special cultural celebrations e.g. Irish food enjoyed for St Patrick’s Day and Indian cuisine showcased on Diwali.
The event is for ages 18+, takes place at St Luke’s Community Centre and is free to join. 6 spaces at the event are reserved for LGBT members of St Luke's Community Centre and can be booked directly be contacting St Luke's and 6 spaces are reserved for forum+ - our small charity works to improve the lives of LGBT+ people living in Camden and Islington. Please note that our services and social support groups are for LGBT people who live, study, work or volunteer in Camden or Islington. For more information please email info@forumplus.org.uk
