Gillian Simpson, Advocate, Black Chambers

Gillian is a practicing member of the Faculty of Advocates and is part of Black Chambers. Her areas of practice include criminal defence work, Children’s Referrals, and human rights law. Since calling to the Bar in 2025, Gillian has been instructed in an array of criminal cases in both the Sheriff Court and the Hight Court, including sexual offence and domestic abuse cases. She has also been instructed to represent children accused of violent offending, to undertake children’s referral work and to defend permanence order proceedings.
