This corsetry masterclass will show you step by step how to create a classic corset that can be used for the Stage /Film or as foundation for Evening &amp; Bridal Wear.During this intensive 2day corsetry master class you will get a rare chance to see some antique victorian corsets , early 20th century girdles and other foundation garments to explore how lingerie changed women's shape throughout history.You will learn how to create a classic corset to your own measurements during this weekend masterclass by one of the leading corsetieres for Film &amp; Fashion.- you will get expert advice how to sew a classic corset - sewing machines and all specialist supplies will be provided- deliberately small groups to get individual attention(max of 6 students)- learn some new skills or explore professional sewing skills in corset makingOutline of this masterclass:SATURDAY-explore how corsets were made in the past with a rare collection of antique foundation garments in the classroom-choose from a variety of specialist corset fabrics and materials to cut your own unique corset -start sewing your corsetSUNDAY- continue sewing your corset-learn how attach corset boning : learn about different types of corset boning &amp; what type will work best for Fashion or Stage-how to add eyelets or hook &amp; eyes to your corset/bodice-how to add a busk to your corset-adding decorations to your corset-- you need to have good sewing skills to join this workshop ---Students will receive a supplier list and keep your pattern to create more corsets in your own time.Please note: * you need to have previous sewing experience to get most out of this workshop *
