COSHH Awareness

This Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Awareness online training course raises awareness of the dangers associated with hazardous substances and the practical steps that can be taken to eliminate or reduce the risks that they present.


The course covers what hazardous substances are, the forms that hazardous substances can take, the ways that hazardous substances can enter the body, the harmful effects that hazardous substances can have, acute and chronic effects that hazardous substances can cause, identifying hazardous substances, the key legislation, and COSHH risk assessments.

Aim


The aim of this course is to raise awareness of the risks associated with hazardous substances and the practical steps that can be taken to manage the risk, so that you can understand more about your legal responsibilities and how to carry out your job role safely.

The end of course assessment


  • The assessment fee is included in the cost of the course.
  • The assessment is 100% online. So there is no need for the learner to attend a training centre to complete it
  • The assessment consists of multiple-choice questions
  • Learners must achieve at least 70% in the assessment to register a pass
  • We do not charge a fee to take the assessment again if the learner does not achieve the 70% pass rate (provided the course is completed within 6 months from enrolment)
  • The learner will be able to download a course certificate once they pass the end of course assessment
  • The coordinator will also be able to download the course certificate through their dashboard once the learner passes the end of course assessment
