Aims

1. To increase collaboration between authorities to ensure greater efficiencies and value for money.

2. To support the value of member development with organisations across the region.

3. To share intelligence, knowledge and resources and generate ideas to support and best practice and ways of working.

4. To support the personal development of members and officers through discussion, exploration and planned development activities.

5. To disseminate information on national and regional initiatives to ensure equal opportunity.

6. To improve the overall quality of communication and member training provision regionally and locally i.e. members of councillor steering groups, member learning champions.

7. To increase member engagement in their development agendas.
