Join us for a very special session of creativity and fun themed on "Amazing Mums" the joyous new book from Gabrielle Kuzak, beautifully illustrated by Hannah Broadway. "Amazing Mums " is a wonderful celebration of motherhood and shows just how truly amazing all mothers are!

Not only will this be another brilliant art workshop with Colourful Minds, we are delighted to announce that we will be joined by Gabrielle and Hannah for some readings and our very own Q&A. A great opportunity for children of all ages to find out more about the world of books, art and illustrations.

During the workshop Laura will show us how to make unique prints inspired by Hannah's illustrations with paint and easy to find tools from around the home, including your own hands! We'll then turn the prints into Amazing Animals!

Mono-printing is a way of printing where no two prints are the same. Lots of messy fun for all the family!

Make sure you have a nice clear work area and somewhere to lay all your printed papers to dry.

You will need:

Template print outs

A4 White paper

A4 Colourful paper or thin card

Tempera or poster paint in 3 or 4 colours(choose paints from a colour family to work with –reds, oranges & pinks OR blues, greens & yellows)

An old baking tray, shallow with sides, big enough to fit your paper in

Paintbrushes

A clean washing up sponge or two

A couple of cardboard tubes

You’ll also need:

Something to cover your work table

Apron

Somewhere to lay all your painted papers to dry
