Crafternoon - Jewellery Making Workshop - Wire Made Trinkets 101
Sun 10 July 2016, 13:00 – 16:00 BST
Join us at Nottingham Hackspace for the second in our new 2016 series of Sunday “Crafternoons”.
At this workshop, you’ll be learning how to make your own jewellery with Nottingham Hackspace member, Betty Ching, who's been crafting her own creations for nearly 10 years.
During the four-hour workshop, you will create a selection of jewellery items to take away with you. At a minimum, this will include a pair of earrings (pierced and clip-on options available), a ring, a bracelet and a pendant. There will also be hot drinks and sweet nibbles provided to fuel your creativity.
This workshop is suitable for all ages and abilities!
In this session:
All materials will be supplied, and there will be an option to purchase your own set of tools for £18 if you wish.
You will learn how to manipulate wire to create beautiful and unique trinkets.
You will receive a detailed instruction booklet containing some ideas to get you started. This will also be available for you to download at home after the workshop.
The cost of the workshop is £30 per person. Please arrive promptly as while four hours sounds like a lot, it’s sure to go quickly! The final optional half hour of the afternoon will include a chance to have a tour of the Hackspace and sign up to become a member if you wish to join our community.
Please note: the components that will be used in this workshop are silver plated, and therefore comply with current UK allergy legislation.
