What age group is this for?

We target our workshops to queer young adults, often those who are aged between 16 and 30, but welcome anyone 16 years old or above.

How much is the workshop?

Finances shouldn't be a barrier to Blossom! We're proud to be able to provide these workshops free of charge due to the generosity of The National Lottery Community Fund & New House Art Space. That said, we're a non-profit that operates on a shoestring so please donate if you can!

Question 3

I'm not LGBTQIA+, can I still come?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as you are respectful and aware of the space you're occupying. It's important to understand that this is a space for LGBTQIA+ people to learn skills, therefore please make sure you respect that. This is not a place to ask uninvited questions. Just come and have fun.

Is the venue accessible?

Accepted Answer

Whilst the venue is wheelchair accessible, the space will be open to the public, which means we're unable to control sensory-related aspects! Please email employability@blossom.lgbt with any accessibility requirements and we'll pass these along to the venue.

I'm anxious about coming alone!

Accepted Answer

Don't worry, it's really common for people to come on their own. We'll have staff and volunteers whose main purpose is to facilitate conversation and help people to feel comfortable. If you want to meet a member of our team for a coffee ahead of the workshop, email employability@blossom.lgbt

We're a majority trans-led organisation and are proud to have QTIPOC and neurodiverse people within our senior roles. We take a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of bullying, harassment, and intimidation.
