Use pixel art to create cool characters with big personalities! Learn helpful pixel art techniques to bring life to your narrative game in this beginner friendly workshop.

You will:

• Bring your characters to life from paper to pixels
• Gain a beginner friendly overview of libresprite/aseprite
• Learn the groundwork of pixel art: what size to choose, how to use colour ramps, different styles etc.
• Plus expert tips and tricks for appealing pixel art characters!

This course is led by Birgithe Runde, a concept artist for Antidote Gamers.

This workshop is part of the Elevate:Lowestoft programme at The Fort in Lowestoft.

Attendance is free, but the tickets are limited. We will ask you to confirm your attendance ahead of the event, so we can move people up from the waitlist as necessary.

About Elevate:Lowestoft

Join in our free workshops and create games from Monday 16th February to Friday 20th February! In these hands-on workshops you will craft digital stories, eye-catching game art, essential game development skills, and connect with games industry professionals.

All participants will receive a full scholarship so you can join free of charge. Lunch will be provided and travel funding (reimbursement of up to £25 in total per participant) is available.
