Making the Future is a major new cultural heritage project from Nerve Centre, National Museums NI, Public Record Office of Northern Ireland and Linen Hall Library, supported by the European Union’s PEACE IV programme.Making the Future will use significant objects, collections and archives as a stimulus to pose challenging questions about the past, ‘take the temperature’ of where we are at currently as a society, and create a manifesto for our future.For more information onMaking the Futureand how to get involved visit www.makingthefuture.eu

Making the Future

Learn how to write, draw, colour and letter your own comic book

Learn the art of comic book creation and work with leading comic book artists in this free week long programme. You will learn the tricks of the trade to write, draw, colour and letter your own comic book story.How will the programme work?- We&#x27;ll deliver you an art pack in the post with the materials you&#x27;ll need to complete the course- Take part in drawing and colouring workshops with comic and graphic designer Fiona Boniwell and writing workshops with editor and publisher Colin O&#x27;Mahoney- You will develop, write and draw your own comic book story inspired by your own life- An online community hosted through Slack will bring participants together to share their workThis programme is FREE and open to young people aged 10-16 and based in Northern Ireland or border counties.Workshops take place each day from 20th - 24th July, 11.30am-1pm.

Making the Future and its project partners would like to share information and imagery from the programme through social media to highlight ongoing progress and to showcase the good work. This may involve sharing screenshots of online meetings and examples of the content being created. Any content shared will be credited to its creator. By signing up to this programme you consent to content being shared on social media.
