Creating Cityscapes - Evening
A free creative workshop to collectively produce a cityscape using mixed media to celebrate Clean Air Day!
Join us for an inspiring morning exploring the urban environment through art. This free, in-person, artist-led workshop is perfect for anyone looking to unleash their creativity and consider our city from a fresh perspective. We will collectively create a cityscape while exploring the way cities are planned and built, and how transport and infrastructure shape the urban environment, including elements such as air pollution.
Using charcoal, graphite, stencils and collage, artistic techniques will be demonstrated and the scene developed as a shared creation built over time, where urban relationships become visible through its making. No prior knowledge of art or urban spaces is needed. Facilitation will be provided and is intended to prompt discussion and support creative practice.
Will group discussion change how we perceive the environment around us and be the stimulus for the cityscape to evolve in front of our eyes?
