Event description
Join the NERC Engaging Environments partnership to explore community and public engagement in environmental science.

About this event

We invite environmental researchers to boldly re-imagine how to co-create environmental solutions with community partners in order to recognise, respect and respond to the needs of communities, science and society.

This online interactive discussion session is an introduction to Engaging Environments Virtual Community Science Camp, an online learning course that will run from April - May 2021 and is open to early career environmental researchers.

This event will be an opportunity to speak with alumni from last year's course, Engaging Environments partners and community engagement practitioners to learn more about the course, what to expect this year and hear from the diverse experiences of our panel in community engagement on environmental research and themes

For full details about the event, panel speakers and the Virtual Community Science Camp online course in April 2021 please visit - https://earthwatch.org.uk/component/k2/early-career-research-opportunity

Important information: We will make the recording available to everyone on the waiting list. Please add you name and email address so we can send you the information after the workshop.

Organiser Earthwatch Europe

Organiser of Creating Engaging Environments: Introduction

Earthwatch is an environmental charity with science at its heart.

We connect people with the natural world, monitor the health of our natural resources, and inform the actions that will have the greatest positive impact.

We work together with scientists, businesses, civil society and policy-makers to drive the change we need to live within our means and in balance with nature.
