About this Event

Learn to create a custom immersive social space based online. From a showroom to a gallery space or simple a brainstorming space, WebXR platform ‘Mozilla Hubs’ can offer a Covid friendly immersive space which your audience and their avatars can interact with. Useful for the launch of new products, user testing or simply a great alternative to the monotony of Zoom calls.

Run by Immersive Artist Sean Rodrigo, the workshop will teach you how to interact in virtual rooms, build your own space and customise it for your use cases and approach events in an innovative way.


  • Investigate COVID 19 friendly options to launch a physical or virtual product
  • Create Avatars easily
  • Create a virtual show room where anyone can come in and meet sales staff or speakers
  • Run Events and launches in VR
  • Rooms can be experienced on a Desktop, Phone or VR Headset (mobile and tethered).
  • Build & create your own custom spaces
  • Create white box environments that can help you create a proof of concept in VR or AR (Prototyping product – use Kate’s product t as an example – really easy to make Whitebox environments for VR.
  • Learn now hold meetings in VR space
  • Retail through their products through a VR market

About ACE IT

South Bank Innovation's ACE IT programme gives immersive tech innovation support to London's Startups and SMEs. Membership is free to London-based businesses looking to create new immersive tech experiences, services, products or processes.

Eligibility criteria applies: You must...

  • Have a business address or operational address within Greater London;
  • Have an annual turnover below £43 million and less than 250 employees;
  • Have not received more than €200,000 in State Aid in the past three years
  • Be looking to integrate immersive tech products, services, processes or experiences into your business (EG VR, AR, MR, or 360° Video).

The ACE IT programme is funded by European Regional Development Programme, Greater London Authority, London South Bank University and UAL's London College of Communication.
