Creating our Future is a series of interactive workshops put on by Anglia Ruskin University as part of the Being Human Festival.
About this event
Creating our Future is a series of interactive workshops put on by Anglia Ruskin University that will ask participants to discuss, debate and deliberate on key issues of future concern, and then deliver a set of recommendation to an industry or political representative. In the style of a Citizens’ Assembly, these workshops are fully interactive, and aim to put ideals of deliberative democracy into action. Participants will be advised by leading experts from academia and industry and will come away from the sessions with a sense of the kind of change that is both necessary and possible for the challenges we will face in the post-covid world.
Event format:
- Welcome address from the event organisers
- Inputs from Academic and Industry experts (Chris Land, Deputy Dean, Business and Law, Anglia Ruskin University; and Tim Lancaster, Arcus Global, Cambridge)

- Feedback from groups to political representative
- Reflections from political representative (Vicky Ford, MP for Chelmsford)
- Final reflections from event organisers
