About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 45 minutes
  • Free venue parking

As part of Great Big Green Week 2025, join us for an evening with Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust as we explore how we can all create space for nature in our own communities.

The evening will feature two inspiring talks, offering practical solutions and fresh perspectives on welcoming wildlife into our daily lives.

We’ll hear from Kate Sheard – Wilder Communities Officer at HMWT, who will provide insight and ideas on how we can encourage nature and increase biodiversity in our environments and James Hare - our own Tree Officer, who will share updates on our local efforts within the public realm to protect and enhance our treescape.

The event will also include a seed swap. We will be bringing the Welwyn Hatfield Council seed bank, so you can swap your unwanted seeds to try something new!

Come along to be inspired, get involved, and discover the small changes that can make a big difference.

When: Monday 9th June 2025 from 7pm

Where: Welwyn Hatfield Council Chambers

We will also be serving tea, coffee and biscuits.
