<h2></h2><h2>Welcome to Women in Tech York's February event!</h2><h2>Who are we?</h2>Women in Tech York is a community of like-minded individuals studying, working or interested in technology. Our goal is to run events where we can share our knowledge and interests, as well as encourage and empower one another. Our events are not exclusive to women; we welcome anyone passionate about tech and increasing diversity in the field. Events run on the 2nd Thursday of the month. We also welcome all students who are interested in learning more about Tech, and career progression in the industry.<h2>This month...</h2>We're exploring the impact of menopause with Clare Gardner and discussing how we can create more supportive workplaces as a group. Clare Gardner is a passionate, committed and energetic senior change professional. Her background is in complex transformational change programs across private and public sector including consulting, contacting and employed roles.Her ‘other passion’ is raising awareness, educating and empowering everyone in Menopause and it’s related impacts to workplace settings. As always, there will be a free buffet (vegetarian and vegan options available) thanks to our sponsors BJSS, Isotoma and Netsells. Sharing what I learned personally and how this has shaped where I am today. It is my greatest hope that every time I am involved in conversations on this topic that one woman may have better outcomes personally because of what they've heard.</blockquote>1﻿9:20: Buffet &amp; networking1﻿9:50: Retro: How can we create supportive workplaces - Women in Tech York Ambassadors to facilitate<blockquote>As a group we'll discuss what our workplaces do well and the improvements we'd like to see. W﻿e will always do our best to cater for everyone. If you let us know about your requirements at least 72 hours in advance we'll pass them on to the venue and ask them to accommodate.
