About this event
What is a Creative Being workshop?
If you'd like to make time to do something creative without distractions or interruptions from the outside world and everyday life, and without anyone else telling you what you "should" be doing, these sessions are for you!
Whether you're feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed or lonely, or would just like a change of scenery on a Monday night, you're very welcome to join.
You might have a current project that you’d like to make time to work on, or you might spontaneously choose some materials to work with during the session and see what emerges.
These sessions are designed to be fun, engaging and playful, with no pressure to “produce” something (unless you want to!).
Some materials will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own.
When and where will the sessions take place?
Sessions will be fortnightly, and held face-to-face in the meeting room at the Danish Buildings in Hull city centre on Mondays, 7-8.30pm. Spaces for each session are limited to 6 participants, so it’ll be a small group.
The current dates are:
🎨27th May (this is a Bank Holiday but the session is still going ahead!)
We'll then be taking a break and sessions will restart on 22nd July 2024.
How much are tickets?
Tickets are £22.50 per person, per session.

Absolutely not! We are all fundamentally creative beings, and we can connect with and express our creativity in all sorts of way, without needing to be professional artists / creators.
Although Emma is a psychotherapist, these sessions are NOT therapy, though the benefits of connecting with creativity are often therapeutic. You don't need to share anything about what you create or why it might be meaningful for you, you can simply create and be for the joy of it!
