Creative Cardiff Classroom (Spring)

A relaxed workshop with poet and facilitator Taylor Edmonds to mark the change in seasons

Creative Cardiff Classrooms are a series of events designed to help creatives explore a specific theme in greater depth through small-group sessions led by experienced facilitators.

On 2 April, we’re delighted to host a special Classroom that invites you to pause, reflect, and look ahead as we mark the first seasonal shift of the year. Poet, writer, and creative facilitator Taylor Edmonds will guide us to look back at the beginning of the year, while gently turning our attention to what we’d like to welcome in the months ahead as spring begins.

This session is designed to be calm, encouraging, and supportive - the perfect space to reflect, reset, and look forward.

About Taylor Edmonds

Taylor Edmonds is a poet, writer and creative facilitator from Barry. She is the founder of Writing for Joy, where she delivers writing-for-wellbeing workshops for community groups, schools, hospitals and corporate clients. Her debut poetry pamphlet Back Teeth is published by Broken Sleep Books. Taylor was the 2021–22 Poet in Residence for the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales and is a recipient of Literature Wales’ and Firefly Press’ Rising Stars Award for her writing for young people. Her stage debut, Demand the Impossible, written for Common Wealth theatre, will premiere at The Corn Exchange this October.

Mae Taylor Edmonds yn fardd, yn awdur ac yn hwylusydd creadigol o'r Barri. Hi yw sylfaenydd Writing for Joy, lle mae'n cyflwyno gweithdai ysgrifennu-er-llesiant ar gyfer grwpiau cymunedol, ysgolion, ysbytai a chleientiaid corfforaethol. Cyhoeddir ei phamffled barddoniaeth cyntaf Back Teeth gan Broken Sleep Books. Taylor oedd Bardd Preswyl 2021–22 ar gyfer Comisiynydd Cenedlaethau'r Dyfodol Cymru ac mae wedi derbyn Gwobr Rising Stars Llenyddiaeth Cymru a Firefly Press am ei hysgrifennu i bobl ifanc.
