A collage is an artwork made by cutting, layering, and arranging images, text, and textures from different sources to create a new visual piece.

Is the workshop accessible and inclusive?

Yes. Studio Within aims to be a welcoming space for everyone. The workshop takes place on the upper floor (bar area) and is accessible via a lift. Seating is available. If you have any access needs or questions, please get in touch - we’re happy to help where we can.

Can I eat at the venue?

Yes. This venue is home to a range of great food vendors and a lovely selection of drinks. Orders can be placed easily via the venue’s app and delivered straight to your table.

Will photos be taken during the workshop?

Yes, photos may be taken during the workshop. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let us know by email in advance or on the day - your consent will always be respected.

Absolutely. Many people attend Studio Within workshops on their own. It’s a relaxed, friendly environment and a great way to spend time creatively - solo attendees are very welcome.

Join us for an exciting and imaginative Creative Collage Workshop! Unleash your creativity with scissors and glue !

Join Manchester-based artist Katie for a hands-on, inspiring 2-hour creative workshop.

You’ll start by browsing our inspiration booklets and Instagram highlights, filled with a mix of conceptual ideas and collage styles to spark your imagination.

We’ll show you our treasure trove of rare magazines, vintage books, and journals—all yours to rip, cut, and play with. Build your own colour palette, theme, or idea from what’s in front of you. Think shapes, borders, textures, keywords… and if you’re stuck, we’ve got plenty of prompts to help get you going.

Once you’re set, you’ll have time to get fully stuck in and create your own collage masterpiece to take home!
