Creative Computing Club - Code, Cut & Create (Ages 9-12)

The Science Oxford Centre is a new experience for children, families and adults where all you need to get started is a little curiosity. Explore, experiment and make discoveries in our Exploration Zone, follow the trails in our woodland and enjoy clubs, shows and more in our theatre and workshop. It’s time to get creative as our young coders tinker with codeblocks in Tinkercad to design a decoration, keyring or piece of jewellery. Watch as the laser cutter brings your idea to life and get to take it home! Whether you’re after a precious snowflake or a festive pendant – this is your chance to create a lovely festive gift for yourself, a friend or family. You’ll also test your 3D design skills to make a snowman (no snow required!).
9-12 year olds sessions must be accompanied by an adult.
We recommend beginners come along to the 10am session and those who have been coming to our clubs for a little while or have some knowledge already to come to the 12.30pm or 2pm session.

Science Oxford is committed to inclusion and we recognise that cost is sometimes a barrier. Funded places for eligible families are now available, thanks to the Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust. Families could be eligible for these places for several reasons; for example, if your child receives free school meals or is a looked-after child.
