I believe that when we really get creative, productive and focused, we smash our goals and achieve way beyond our own expectations. When we spend time on what really matters it makes a huge difference; we cut through the noise, forge our path and fully achieve our potential.I am the architect of my own successful and varied career. I’ve held director level appointments at organisations including East Coast Mainline, First Group and Northern Rail. I run my own commercial coaching consultancy and I’m an Associate Lecturer at the University of York teaching Ideation and Strategy at Masters level. I completed my MBA and PhD whilst working full time (over a period of 11 years!).I have an exceptional track record for delivering innovation, business transformation and expanding the capability of leadership teams.The differentiators for any organisation are the ideas that come from its people. I have always been fascinated by what causes some individuals to progress and reach new heights, where others seem to hit a level and stay there. I was so motivated that I decided to begin my PhD to fully understand the characteristics and mindsets of these high-performing leaders, and the measurable, commercial outcomes that they generate for their organisations. I successfully completed my PhD in 2016 as a result of my ground-breaking research.In 2011, I founded The Big Bang Partnership Ltd, driven by my passion for individual and business growth. I have applied my research to help leaders and senior teams to achieve much more than they ever thought possible through coaching, facilitation, hands-on consulting and bespoke innovation programme development.To reach more people and share the evidence-based insights from both my PhD research and commercial experience, I created Idea Time®, a high performance innovation programme. If you facilitate sessions but have never had any structured or formal professional training, investing in yourself to develop your creative facilitation skills can be a fantastic confidence boost and take your skills to the next level, even if you’re already super-confident.Likewise, if you’ve been trained in a specific method, such as Design Thinking or Innovation Sprints, having some deeper and more holistic facilitation skills training will definitely add value to your practice.We limit the number of places in our events so that you have an experience that is tailored for you, and so that you can play with and practise new techniques and tools in a brilliantly supportive environment. I’ve designed the content of the Creative Facilitation Skills training so that it is:<ul><li>Packed with science-based insights, tools and techniques</li><li>Delivered in highly engaging, interactive way</li><li>Full of opportunities for you to practise different facilitation activities and ‘play’ with approaches that are new to you </li></ul>Together, we will work on these themes and much more: <ul><li>Your role as facilitator</li><li>Understanding innovation – from ideas to commercialisation</li><li>Co-creation and your role as the facilitator</li><li>Key success factors in designing and facilitating co-creation events </li><li>Achieving optimal contributions from co-creation delegates – both individually and in a group context</li><li>Dealing with ‘challenging’ delegates and ‘sensitive’ topics</li><li>Developing your own authentic ‘signature’ facilitation style</li></ul>You will have the opportunity to put your learning into practice and do some hands-on facilitation in the afternoon session.Plus you will get my facilitation guide and toolkit of over 70 techniques to take away.
