This event is for you if...<ul><li>You are a student of, or just interested in, being creative with technology</li><li>You are looking for a career in Digital Design, Software/Web Development or Data Analytics </li><li>Want the chance to win up to £1000</li></ul>We&#x27;re running a completely virtual hackathon from the 4th to the 6th November and the winning team will win up to £1000.The Challenges: Story Telling with Data...By giving data context you turn it into information. One of the biggest challenges for designers and data analysts these days is presenting data in a meaningful way to the user.Bringing data to life and offering people the chance to see and understand information in a different way can be so important to many areas of the modern world. Some example of where we&#x27;ve seen this work really well are:<ul><li>https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-interactive/2017/dec/20/bussed-out-america-moves-homeless-people-country-study</li><li>http://www.oliveruberti.com/infographics</li><li>https://informationisbeautiful.net</li><li>https://www.visualcapitalist.com/</li></ul>Our board of experts have come up with 3 challenges, that will offer participants the chance to work as teams of mixed skills and present some beautiful and accessible data.Wednesday 11th November - Launch - 10:00 BSTOn the day we will introduce the event with a short YouTube live stream, and then encourage everyone over to our discord website (a bit like whatsapp). From there we&#x27;ll confirm teams and hand over to the mentors to organise the contestants, and get the ball rolling.Friday 13th November - Presentations and AwardsBy 6pm we would hope that all the teams are winding up and ready to share their work.
