North Tyneside Art Studio are running creative well-being workshops at Stephenson Railway Museum. Come along and have a go at a range of art and craft techniques inspired by the museum and it’s surrounding outdoor areas. Enjoy a cuppa while you create! All materials are provided and no experience is necessary. Weekly sessions run 10am - 12pm.Meet just inside the main entrance of the museum. Advance booking is required. Take part in creating a group repeat design, which will be used to create new tablecloths for the cafe area!10th July - SCRAN!Inspired by the current TWAM exhibiton at South Shields Museum and Art Gallery, this session will encourage you to experiment with collage to create a tasty (paper) treat!17th July - Outdoors at StephensonJoin us for our monthly meet in the outdoor area, where we’ll be observing the changing colours and textures of the season, with drawings and rubbings.24th July - Marvellous MapsSnip, colour and stitch on old maps to create a piece of colourful, abstract art.31st July - Garden birdsJoin us and have a go at drawing or painting a feathered friend using pencils and watercolours.
