Creative making: Beautiful boxes

By National Library of Scotland

Overview

Transform a pre-loved book into a keepsake box.

Give a forgotten book a beautiful new life! Join paper artist Isabell Buenz in this creative workshop and transform a second-hand hardback into a unique keepsake box.

You will learn the techniques to craft your own decorative box. If time allows, you can even fill it with paper flowers made from the book's own pages.

This is a chance to be creative, sustainable, and make something truly special.

What to bring:

  • A small (not bigger than A5) second hand hardback book
  • Optional: card (eg. from cereal boxes)
  • Optional: additional decorations or embellishments

Tea and coffee will be provided.
