<H2>Why the name?</H2>
<P><SPAN>Research shows that young people who make 4 or more professional connections before leaving full-time education, are 5 times more employable. Why? It helps young people build their network of contacts, learn about the jobs out there, and the routes in.</SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN>Insights from our impact report show that under representation in the creative industries is caused by inadequate careers education in the state sector. <BR><BR>Despite being worth an estimated £101 billion to the UK economy, young people don't always know about the opportunities in the creative industries.</SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN>4 x 5 aims to change that.</SPAN></P>

<P>Everyone!</P>
<P>We invite 16-24 year olds interested in a career in the creative industries, to come and find out more about creative industry jobs and make new contacts in the industry.</P>
<P>And we welcome those working in the creative industries looking to support the next generation, to come and network with our young people and mentor for the night.</P>

<H2>What the format?</H2>
<P>We'll hear from <SPAN CLASS="il">4</SPAN> industry professionals presenting for <SPAN CLASS="il">5</SPAN> minutes each about their work and how they got started, with time for questions from the audience.</P>

<P><SPAN>We work directly with colleges and youth centres across London to connect 16-24 year olds from low-income backgrounds with those working in the creative industries.</SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN>Our model is designed so that everyone wins: supportive careers guidance for young people; training and development for mentors; access to diverse talent for businesses.</SPAN></P>
<P>Our 16 week certificated mentor training programme trains industry professionals in coaching and creating inclusive cultures. Employees embed and refine their skills through 1:1 sessions with their mentee.</P>
