Creative Responses to Menopause & Life

Creative Responses to Menopause & Life

Overview

A monthly group for women, to freely express with intuitive art making; feel supported & re~frame their peri menopause & menopause journey

Creative Responses to the Life & the Menopause

Welcome to this months special creative art making workshop celebrating International Womens day for Sunday.

Inspired by native american prayer stick making (and other indiginous cultures who create similar intentional prayer sticks) this workshop will offer a guided meditation, and a deeper connection to your womb.

You will be writing a love & gratitude letter to your womb, then decorating the prayer stick/ aka womb wand with a variety of craft materials. Your wand will have within it the letter and the healing mesages inside. You get to take this object home and keep by your alter, candles, place of daily affirmation until you're ready to release it.

This will be an inspiring event where we explore creative ways to embrace life and navigate the menopause journey.

Women at this junture in their lives are juggling careers, family, caring for aging parents and inlaws, and going through various changes and experiences of loss.

It can be an extremely challenging chapter of life to navigate.

This workshop aims to help women reframe menopause journey as a rites of passge within which is much medicine and wisdom to glean, and grow from.

Themes such as Identity, Boundaries, Betrayal, Rest, Revisioning and Self Love are so common and we explore these during the workshops using art materials as a visual language.

Developing a creative response in life grows new inner strength, understanding and self compassion!

Join us at Mint Lane Cafe 10:00 AM - 12.30 pm . All art materials and refreshments are provided.

Come share your experiences and connect with others on a similar path. It's a morning filled with tendering, courting, being real and finding empowerment, and support.

See you there!
