Try Screen Printing - An introduction to Screen Printing
Come join me at my Nunburnholme printing studio for a taster session in Screen Printing. Design and print your very own cards or print through the medium of screen printing and using a simple stencil technique with impressive results!

Screen printing is the process whereby ink is pushed through a fine silk mesh stretched over a screen. A squeegee is used to push the ink through the 'open' areas of the screen depositing an even layer of ink on to the fabric or paper below. Many colours/layers can be printed and multiple copies can be printed.
In this introductory workshop Alison will use her 20 plus years of experience to guide you through creating your own design or pattern, cutting the design out of a paper stencil, choose and mix your colour and then print your design using a squeegee and screen on to paper and card.
A great workshop for groups of friends. Approx 4.5 hrs.
The workshop will involve:
· Introduction to screen printing and how it works
· Designing and drawing a pattern
· Cutting the design out of Yupo paper
· Choosing or mixing your colour from my choice of inks
· Screen printing between 10-20 cards or 5-10 prints to take home with you. Envelopes can be chose for your cards from our coloured stock of envelopes
There will be unlimited tea and coffee and a snack provided . Please advise of any dietery requirements or allergies upon booking.
