West Wight Sports & Community Centre

<a href="https://creativeisland.org" title="https://creativeisland.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Creative Island</a> is developing a series of creative hubs across the island with the ambition of encouraging collaboration, sharing resources and information and identifying common ambitions within the sector.Having established the first of these in Ryde and starting an equivalent grouping in Cowes, we are keen to initiate a conversation with the West of the Island.This initial meeting at <a href="https://westwight.org.uk" title="https://westwight.org.uk" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">West Wight Sports &amp; Community Centre</a>, is for anyone who is curious about how the work they do contributes to the quality of West Wight.Creative Island:Creative Island is the Cultural Development Agency for the Isle of Wight, committed to improving the quality of life for all those who live on the Island. We want to make the best use of the resources we have, nurture talent, ensure we are better connecting people, encourage collaboration between the Island’s heritage and creative sector and attract new investment into the Island. We are curious about how to encourage generosity, make connections with other Island communities around the world who share some of the same challenges. We want to express ourselves as a contemporary, vibrant set of communities of 33 parishes, nine towns and one Island.The venue:The West Wight Sports and Community Centre Trust is a registered charity (reg number 273334) providing activities which supporting the community’s physical and mental health and well-being. Based in Moa place, Freshwater, on the IW, the sports and community centre has swimming pools, sports hall, gym, cafe, meeting rooms, community centre, exercise classes, community kitchen, hair salon, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, chiropractic clinic and lots more. The Centre is a hub for the West Wight community providing a diverse range of services including supporting the vulnerable and isolated, providing youth services aa well as all the traditional activities associated with a sports and community centre.
