About this event

Welcome to Creative Wind Down, a new kids club opening in Shoreham-By-Sea that offers a creative way to help children relax after school.

With no screens and using only creative tools , our aim is to help the family's home environment, by taking away the exhaustion and edginess that we so often see in our children after a long day, when they're exhausted and unsure how to relax.

We offer school collection, so once you book your child's place, we will reach out to you via email or text to arrange.

LEGO: Loads of lego pieces for children have fun building.

MUSIC: Keyboads and guitars for children to experience (headphones will be provided and essential).

ART: Plenty of art supplies for children to discover and let out their inner creativity.

SCIENCE: A large selection of gadgets, magnets and more.

Certificates and prizes will be given to the child embracing their creativity the most.

Frequently asked questions

Age:

The club is for 4 - 9 year olds. *We are working on a younger time slot, hopefully we will have a date and time for this soon*.

Do parents get involved?

If you need to go to your child during the club, all we ask is that it's not constant unless really needed. Creating an ability for your child to create for themselves and not seeking approval for what they are doing builds a level of independence which is important in this TikTok era of attention.

What food and drinks be supplied for the children:

Homemade nut-free cake, and lots of fruit. Tap water can be used to fill up water bottles. All food and ingredients has been kindly donated by Tesco.

Will food and drinks be supplied for adults:

At a small extra cost of £1, tea, coffee and biscuits will be available. Make sure to choose the correct ticket option. You can speak to a member of the team and give £1 on the day if you need to.

Collecting children from school

We can collect your child from their school, so please choose the correct ticket type. The person collecting will be DBS checked and in a good state of mind to care for your child crossing roads.

Hours

3:30 pm - 5:15 pm *Children must be collected at 5:15. All staff will leave the premises shortly after.*

Are you DBS checked?

Yes, all adults involved in the club, have been DBS checked.

Dynamite Gallery has been around since 2013, building a following by constantly pulling in elegant, edgy and unusual work, ranging from contemporary pop art to fine art with some traditional qualities.

We strongly believe that there is far too much greatness out there to be stuck, rigid, exhibiting just one kind of art form.

We are now a significant name in the Brighton art scene, so the next step for Dynamite Gallery is to leap into these solo shows and one night events in Brighton and London, giving us the chance to show off the work of some incredible artists, and giving a greater audience the chance to take that work home.

Sam Hewitt is a Brighton artist, creating work that not only stands out for its overall beauty, but can also be appreciated for its brushwork, colour palette, and the way he paints somewhere quite ordinary and with his artistry, turns it into a place that we recognise, and long to be a part of.

We can honestly say that this is an artist that draws with such heart, and belief in his subject, that whatever he puts his brush to, he pulls you in.

Along with our full appreciation for Sam’s work, we have become close with the artist, growing a bond with him and the work, understanding it for its deeper, more personal message.

We represent this artist’s work proudly, knowing that there is an exciting journey ahead.
