Looking for a fun, welcoming space to explore your creativity? Join us at The Stuffed Walrus Pub for our community-focused writing class, open to everyone from complete beginners to seasoned scribblers!

What you can expect:

• Short, fun, writing tasks & playful prompts
• Supportive group activities to spark imagination
• A chance to write and build confidence (with the option to share if you wish)
• Guided exploration of writing techniques
• Tips and encouragement in a friendly setting
• A great selection of drinks and refreshments

No experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to have fun with words!

With plenty of time to get drinks and continue the chat after the session, this class is ideal for anyone who wants to make a bit of time for themselves for writing, self-expression, and relaxation.

Tickets will cost £5 per person per class (payable by card on arrival to avoid additional fees from Eventbrite).

New class dates for 2026: Tuesday evenings @7.30pm - 20th Jan, 10th Feb, 10th Mar and 31st Mar.

R.D. Stevens (Robin) is a local published author of three novels, a range of short stories, and academic writing. Recognition for his writing includes: Finalist of the Next Generation Indie Book Awards 2025, Winner of the Andromeda Magazine Short Story Prize 2024, Shortlisted for the Olga Sinclair Prize 2023, Longlisted for the Aurora National Short Fiction Prize 2023, and Literary Titan Gold Book Award Winner 2024.
