Join Climate Museum UK for an online session using creative writing to explore the earth crisis

Join Climate Museum UK for an online session using creative writing to explore the Earth crisis and the emotional and educational needs of young people. After a brief introduction to the museum, there will be three creative exercises, starting with a focus on self and emotions, moving out to imagining experiences of others, and then expanding further to address the Earth. These will prompt discussion about education in an Earth crisis, and the role of creativity to deal with its emotional and relational challenges. This course is for adults (16+) who live work or study in the London Borough of Lewisham. If you are interested in this workshop but do not meet this criteria please contact us, if there is enough demand we will organise more sessions.This workshop is facilitated by <a href="https://climatemuseumuk.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Climate Museum UK</a> member&#x27;s Bridget McKenzie and Beckie Leach McDonald. This workshop is a part of Climate Museum UK&#x27;s Creative Climate Workshops for London Borough of Lewisham residents, supported by <a href="https://www.lewishamlocal.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Lewisham Local</a> through Lewisham Launchpad funding.About the FacilitatorsBridget McKenzie is a researcher and creative curator working across culture, environment and public engagement. She has been director of Flow Associates since 2006, following 14 years’ in roles managing cultural education, including as Education Officer for Tate and Head of Learning at the British Library. She is a trustee for ONCA Gallery, advisor for Culture Unstained and a key initiator of Culture Declares Emergency. She presents and publishes internationally on climate action in the cultural sector and on possibilities of Regenerative Culture. She is founding director of Climate Museum UK.Beckie Leach McDonald is an ecological artist and storyteller, as well as a creative learning and deep listening facilitator. They have two years experience working with Tate Learning and Tate Exchange, and 8 years experience working for the University of the Arts London as a Lecturer and Programme Co-ordinator. Beckie specialises in tracking old stories, myths and fairy tales about human &amp; more-than-human entanglements, that reignite our relationship to place and the wild, and breathing new life into them. They are passionate about collaboration, working with communities and developing ecologically engaged practice. Beckie is a Co-director of Climate Museum UK.
