An online session designed for creatives, on wellbeing and mental health to help effectively support children and young people in their work

A young person can be considered ‘vulnerable’ for many reasons, but what we do know about ‘vulnerability’ is that is can dramatically impact the way a young brain develops &amp; grows; not just in childhood, but throughout the life span. 
The challenges of Covid-19 have dramatically impacted the vulnerabilities of many children &amp; young people, and this session with Jo Stockdale from Well Within Reach helps you to make sense of the ‘vulnerable brain’, explaining both; 
<ul><li>Why some brains haven’t yet; and may never fully develop; the competencies for learning, adapting, or functioning well in general.
</li><li>How many challenges around engagement, behaviour, resilience &amp; self-esteem are often rooted in brain activity; i.e. sensory processing needs, and the impact ‘ACE’s, trauma, bereavement &amp; other distress
</li><li>How to most effectively support these young people, and what you can-and must-do to ‘strengthen the strengths’ of these vulnerable brains.

 working in the Yorkshire and Humber region.About the Facilitator
Jo Stockdale is <a href="https://www.wellwithinreach.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Well Within Reach</a>&#x27;s founder and lead trainer has a background in the creative sector and the journey into neuroscience and ‘person centred development’ began there around 13 years. She now specialises in training all kinds of people about brain development, social and emotional competence and wellbeing issues such as resilience and self-esteem.
Please note, we charge a fully refundable deposit to encourage attendance. Refunds will be sent to attendees within 36 hours of the event/course end date. If you are unable to attend, please let us know at least 2 days before the event/course start date. Those who fail to cancel their ticket or attend will forfeit their deposit.
