#CreativeSummer Programme: Card Making

The Cultural Spring is an exciting, ambitious project to get more people in Sunderland and South Tyneside to experience and be inspired by the arts. We’ve been working with the best local, regional and national artists to ensure our programme really engages, enthuses, entertains and educates the 100,000 people living in our wards.

Card Making with Infinite ArtsJoin Pauline Taylor from Infinite Arts and make beautiful cards that you can send to friends and family. You will use items you find around the home such as petals and leaves and learn simple collage techniques during this workshop.The workshops take place on the following date and time:<ul><li>Wed 21st April, 11am-12.30pm</li></ul>What equipment/materials do I need?This workshop are designed to use items that you will easily have around your home. The materials you will need are as follows:<ul><li>Cartridge paper/ stiff paper/ thin card to use as a card base</li><li>Leaves, petals, paper fragments, magazine cuttings</li><li>Glue – PVA glue and a small stiff bristled paint brush</li><li>Scissors</li></ul>Optional extras:<ul><li>Calligraphy paper for dyeing</li><li>Silk ink or food colouring or water-based pens/ ink to use for dyeing.</li></ul>If you have difficulties sourcing these materials, please contact info@theculturalspring.org.uk.Who are these sessions for?All levels. Adults and children aged 8+ welcome (Under 16s must be accompanied on screen by an adult).General InformationThis session is organised by The Cultural Spring and delivered by Infinite Arts.Due to the funding we receive, these workshops are for people living in South Tyneside and Sunderland. All workshops will take place via Zoom. The quantity of tickets available indicates the number of &#x27;screens&#x27; in the Zoom. Multiple members from households/support bubbles may attend as part of one booking on the same screen.These workshops are offered by The Cultural Spring and subsidised by Arts Council England. To enable us to offer future workshop programmes we run a &#x27;Pay What You Can&#x27; model for our workshops. This means they are free to attend, but if you are in a position to make a donation to support running costs this will be gratefully received. If you are not in a position to make a donation you are still most welcome to attend. We will provide more details about this later in the registration process.
