Leeds City Museum

Come join a creative workshop exploring how we can communicate ideas through movement, specifically looking at ideas surrounding power. Led by Imogen Mcbeath and Faye Singleton (two local Leeds dancers), the workshop is for all adults, any age and any ability level and is filled with mindfulness, discussions, creative tasks and opportunities to connect with new people. No dance experience is required, just the willingness to play. As part of Leeds City Museum’s Bicentenary festival, we are creating an interactive installation-based dance work based on who has the power to create change both historically and now, and this workshop will be a taste of this work as well as an opportunity to be part of the creation process. The workshop will last 3 hours from 1pm -4pm (including breaks) and will be repeated on:•	Sunday 11th of July•	Saturday 17th of July •	Sunday 18th of July At Leeds City Museum: Leeds City Museum, Millennium Square, Leeds LS2 8BHAs an optional section of the workshop, you can choose to be involved in a short film which explores the ideas that ‘we are individual but not in a void’. Within this we will film your hands and any points of interest that occur during this workshop. All you need is trainers (or sensible shoes), moveable clothes, and an open mind.
