Try on a new creature self! Mask, garment, and tool making to connect with other species and help imagine a kinder Felixstowe for all beings
Back by popular demand! 🎉
🦋 Come into Creature Mode, a free, playful making session for all ages. Drop in to design and build multisensory tools, garments, and devices that help you see, feel, and witness the world from another species' point of view. 👀
Work alongside local artists to shape your own connection kit. Discover which creature you most naturally align with, then make a creative commitment to its wellbeing. You might even find yourself moving, sensing, or “speaking” as your chosen species. 💃🕺
This is a friendly, hands-on making day as part of the Reimagine This Coastal Town programme in collaboration with Suffolk Wildlife Trust's 'Festival of Nature'. Felixstowe's residents and visitors come together to imagine a future Felixstowe together – one where every being, from seabirds, to brambles, to humans is valued, celebrated, and flourishing.
No experience is needed. Just bring curiosity and leave with your own creature-made piece of a wilder, kinder future. 🫶💚
