Come and explore the wonderful creatures that come out at night! This event is for children aged 6 to 12 who are interested in learning more about nature at night. The evening will be held at Boug's Meadow, a wonderful wildflower meadow in Great Missenden with a bit of woodland. You will learn about and look for bats and moths, play a game, make nature art and get a hot chocolate as the world slowly turns dark.
The event starts at 19.30 and ends at 21.00. An adult needs to be with the child. The evening will be led by Julie Hopton, a naturalist and nature educator and Prestwood Nature member. She will bring lots of great information and fun ways of looking at nature. Don't forget to bring a torch or lantern, and a jumper or coat to keep you warm once the sun goes down.
This event is organised by Prestwood Nature, a charity that aims to engage local people in the protection and improvement of local nature, through events and natural sites we manage.
