Mar 25 at 10 am to Mar 26 at 4 pm GMT
Overview

This programme marks a strategic milestone in CRID’s commitment to building and sustaining a world-class community of professional trainers.

The Centre for Regional and International Development (CRID) is pleased to announce the 2026 Annual Trainers’ Development Programme, scheduled to hold on 25–26 March 2026 at our premises in Maidstone, Kent. This programme marks a strategic milestone in CRID’s commitment to building and sustaining a world-class community of professional trainers, facilitators and development practitioners who deliver high-impact capacity-building interventions across the United Kingdom and internationally. Unlike conventional “train-the-trainer” workshops, this programme is designed as a professional alignment and development forum. It focuses on strengthening shared values, reinforcing quality standards, enhancing delivery excellence, and fostering a strong sense of institutional identity among CRID trainers - many of whom operate as experienced freelance professionals within complex public-sector, policy and international development environments. The 2-day session will provide a structured platform to deepen understanding of CRID’s ethos, development philosophy and strategic direction; clarify professional expectations, standards and ethical responsibilities; strengthen programme design and facilitation practice for senior-level audiences; promote quality assurance, innovation and continuous professional development; and build a collaborative CRID Trainers’ Network for sustained engagement. Participation in this inaugural programme will signal a trainer’s commitment to professional excellence, institutional alignment and long-term collaboration with CRID. Our Annual Trainers’ Development Programme is intended to ensure consistency, credibility and quality across all CRID training and capacity-building engagements; align trainers to CRID’s policy-driven, reform-oriented and evidence-based approach; support trainers in navigating the complexity of public-sector, regional and international assignments; create a trusted platform for peer learning, reflection and professional growth; and strengthen CRID’s position as a thought partner, not merely a training provider.

The programme will be available physically and virtually.
