Overview

If you can make two hexagons, you can make a hexicardi. Come and start yours with me!

In this relaxed, friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to make crochet hexagons, which are the building blocks of a hexicardi * (hexagon cardigan). Once you’ve cracked the technique, you’re well on your way to creating your own handmade cardigan.

*Finished version below for inspiration. We’ll be starting yours from scratch.

This workshop is for those who are familiar with basic crochet. If you are a total beginner, try one of our beginners' workshops.

What you’ll learn

  • How to crochet a hexagon
  • How hexagons form the structure of a cardigan
  • Tips for continuing your project at home

This workshop is for you if:

  • You’ve got the basics of crochet (chain + simple stitches)
  • You’re ready to try a slightly more ambitious but manageable project
  • You like the idea of making something wearable

What’s included

  • All materials to get you started on a hexagon.
  • Step-by-step guidance
  • A relaxed, supportive atmosphere

What to bring

I will provide the materials to make a practice hexagon. However, if you want to make a start on a cardigan, you can bring the yarn and hook you'd like to use.
