Join the Welsh Dee Trust as we work with Keep Wales Tidy to clean the banks of the River Dee at Sealand, Chester.
About this event
Welsh Dee Trust have teamed up with Keep Wales Tidy Flintshire to run a joint Great British Spring Clean / Spring Clean Cymru event on the English/Welsh border at Sealand. Meeting at the same place, the Keep Wales Tidy participants will clean the riverbank downstream in Wales, while the Welsh Dee Trust volunteers will litter pick upstream of the border in England.
Please volunteer if you would like to help clean up the bank-side and feel confident complying with the provisions below. Numbers are limited to 15 for Welsh Dee Trust participants.
REGISTRATION VIA EVENTBRITE IS REQUIRED.
You must be symptom-free and have no recent contact with anyone who has tested positive to COVID-19. If you feel unwell do not participate. Physical distancing will be exercised at this event.
After registration, you will be emailed a Risk Assessment PDF file. Please read this prior to the clean up.
Litter pickers, bags, hoops, gloves and hand sanitiser will be provided. Please bring other items yourself as follows:
1) Sturdy footwear for walking on uneven terrain
2) Your own drink and snacks
3) Raincoat, hat etc depending on weather
4) Personal medication you may need
Please also note the following:
1) No toilets easily accessible
Please park at the Deva Stadium/Chester Football Club carpark near Bumper's Lane, CH1 4LT.
Under 18's are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
